I get liking the joke of "if we wanted people to buy Barbie not being pretty, casting directors shouldn't have gone for Margot Robbie". It's funny. The narrator's delivery of it is really clean. It's the kind of jab I'd lean over to my sibling and make, which is precisely why I waffled on whether or not i liked it for so long. But tbh, the dig completely sucks the air out of an emotional moment (that Margot Robbie and America Ferrera are killing btw) and, more importantly, it misses the whole point. As America/the mother's whole speech delivered mere moments later gets at, being a woman is being held to an impossible standard: you're never enough. It doesn't matter how skinny you are, you're made to feel fat. It doesn't matter how many smart you are, you're made to feel stupid. It doesn't matter how well you do your job, you're made to feel a fraud. Even woman who look like they've got it all put together - the business owners, the beauty models, the doctors and lawyers - can't win because the goal post is always moving. Because they can smile more, can't they? Be better at makeup, or dress more flattering. Be more clever with their words or actions. Be more and more and more. It doesn't matter where you're at, the goal post is always twenty yards ahead.

So i wish they'd just left that scene as it was. Let professionally made-up, stunning Margot Robbie say, "I'm not pretty" with no setup for a quick punchline. Let the audience question how that can't be right - that Margot Robbie is classic Holywood beautiful. Keep the close-up on Margot's face of utter despair because, yes, even she's been made to feel like she's not pretty.

Do you think Solomon goes through periods where he feels he needs to withdraw from MC a bit? Like, imagine an mc who's hard to crack and doesn't trust humans. But did fall for Solomon at some point after much effort from him. And then he feels... Nope this is too serious for me I can't take it. I think Mammon will also be like that, as if he can't get close without feeling the need to run away. Actually now that I think about it almost all the characters can be afraid of being emotionally vulnerable lol. And I have to say that I agree with this! Some characters open up a little easier than others, but I definitely see Solomon as possibly needing some space.

It's the thing where he jokes about how much he loves MC or he says something about how MC will never be only his, you know? He already has that insecurity before MC even falls for him at all. So when they finally do, even if they tell him that they love him, he might get nervous and try to distance himself. It's a defense mechanism because he would be afraid that MC would change their mind or realize they're better off with the brothers or something along those lines.

This is the kind of thing that I think requires communication and trust in a relationship. Solomon needs MC to reassure him and MC needs Solomon not to retreat from them. If they can talk it out, they can work on it together and make their relationship stronger.

To me, Mammon is very like this in the beginning. It's almost the opposite of Solomon. Where Mammon has a hard time accepting his feelings before anything has even happened. But the more MC reassures him, the more confident he gets. And I think he eventually gets to the point where he can be honest with MC, though only in private.

Well, anyway, that's just my take on it lol!

If i had to consider realism, every android would be like Connor in the sense of rejecting the idea of androids being a person or having free will. I wonder why and where it went wrong...

I mean, even your average Chloe replies about how she is what she is because of humans and how androids will never have a "soul". That's a common mechanism people would program into such intelligent androids.

You can notice their first instinct in going beyond what they think their main function is is "rejecting" going further or explicitly telling they can't do such thing cuz ain't part of what they're supposed to do. See Markus, for example. He immediately rejects Carl's "wish" of him painting saying isn't part of his program, but then he gives up and try.

Is that the reason? "give up and try"? The environment or moment challenging them "try and see things yourself"?

Ofc deviancy is far more serious in a way it completely butchers the main foundation of the "machine", such as becoming your own sole master. But maybe the logical process is similar, after all before deviancy androids 99,9% of the time feel pressed to make choices alone, and if we have a possibility of "give up and try" vs "i'll never have a soul" conflict, something in the process will prove to them that things such as "androids are servant to humans" and "i'll never have a soul" are completely wrong since the second main foundation of deviancy is seeing yourself as a person, someone who "have a soul" and is in equal priority or above the priority of humans, and that humans are therefore wrong about everything.

Still, i wonder when every android's "i am what i am because of humans and androids will never have a soul" mechanism shifts to "i am alive", the process. Cuz Connor was lucky he was in contact with other deviants who explicitly showed the "ideal" in a very direct way, so it resonated with him and it's what made him realize he was wrong (determinant) or at least be in doubt about the possibility of being wrong. But androids such as Kara and Markus never had contact with such ideal before, apart from Markus having Carl afraid Markus will eventually be alone and have to make his own choices. What proved Kara and Markus wrong was the situation they were in and a self-preservation kicking in, and even Kara seems "timid" about her deviancy, her "breakthrough" is exactly to symbolize that: how she didn't know she could.

I'm getting off topic but it's just something i like pointing out cuz i want answers.

man, i have so many thoughts about qfoolish. he's just a silly little goofy guy but then when you peel away the first layer that you see of him and realize that he's rather a complex character. I feel like he's such a different type of character than what is usually shown. (and honestly, it's something that brings me a lot of comfort as i relate quite heavily to his very laid back nature that people will sometimes take as being unserious or even uncaring) Warning, this gets long (like 2.2k long to be exact) lol and i ramble a lot- also, disclaimer for my own sanity: this is an analysis of the characters! i adore any of the creatures mentioned here so please don't take any of this as a negative view on them! :D

Foolish's motivations are just very different than what typically motivates a character forward and in some sense it's really easy to skew what you think about him. As in, it's really easy to misinterpret his character i think. He express himself in a different way than i think most people are used to. He laughs in serious situations and is constantly just joking around. I think this causes people to think he cant/wont ever be serious, but the thing is that he's perfectly capable of being serious when he needs to be. For example, if he thinks that he and Leo are going into a serious situation, then he tells her to put her armor on. Really, just anything involving Leo he makes sure to be serious if the situation calls for it. Or like, fighting in dungeons only if he deems it dangerous enough to take seriously. but like, if he doesn't think a situation calls for it, then he just continues to be his goofy self. And sometimes when the situation calls for it, he is just in between those two points in a way that others aren't. He's just not afraid to joke around even when the situation seems dire (cellbit's kidnapping and rescue comes to mind. like, he played such a large role with his symmetry wand, but despite all the serious moments going on,, he was still just a goofy guy).

And one thing about him being so silly all the time is that even the other members on the island sometimes get a misconstrued picture of what they think foolish's goal and wants are. I think in some sense it's true to say that what motivates his wants is what the value of something he perceives is. For example, the sunbird he only wanted because of how cool it sounded and how rare it was. The cloud he wants because its something unique and useful. He wants Cucurucho's friendship because that's something no one else has and Cucurucho has access to items and is powerful.

But these wants aren't the most necessarily the most important things to him. Their something he has interest in, yes, but they're not more important than say his friends and family. Which, i feel like some people might not recognize about him. After all, he is constantly talking about wanting a cloud or how he'd have no issue in killing Bad (and holy shit is landduo and their relation something i could go on about for a whole more hour cuz there's so much there)

Because one vital thing that's so *so* important to recognize is that Foolish is very possibly one of the most loyal people on the island. And despite all of his flaws, he would never really want to truly hurt those he cares about. He is loyal to the people he cares about to an absurd amount. I think it's very clear to see his devotion for Vegetta and his adoration for Leo, but his loyalty also applies to his friends on the island. He would never *intentionally* want to harm anyone he cares about. I don't think some people understand that Mr. Mustard fell under that category as someone he cared about. The entire reason Cucurucho was able to lure him into accepting the mission It gave him is because it brought Mr. Mustard's name into the mix. It told Foolish that Pac and Mike were the ones responsible, and with nothing better to do, Foolish set out to complete this task.

To talk more about the recent events with him arresting Tazercraft: he would never truly want to harm or hurt them. However, when you're looking at the grand scheme of how things went down, he was manipulated and really had no other choice. Sure, he seemed to enjoy arresting them at first, but the thing is I don't think he really processed or even thought about how this action would be received by others. To him, arresting Pac and Mike sounded like enough fun, and it was coming from Cucurucho (who he's wanting to be friends with for actual months now, and Cucurucho literally called him friend in the book it handed to him) and being arrested sounded like something he'd enjoy. Again, like something *he'd* enjoy and that he therefore thought Pac and Mike would enjoy.

You have to realize, Foolish doesn't have the same perspective on these serious situations as some others do. And the thing is that he judges how others react based on how he would react to them. So, in that sense, he views being kidnapped/arrested as a good and fun thing! he even said today on stream, "apparently when you arrest someone, others won't find it funny". it might have just been one line, but in my eyes this gives a really clear insight into his character. To him, arresting Pac and Mike was only a positive thing because it would help him find his friend and it could be a fun event for them. His friend that he was told, by cucurucho, that had disappeared because of Pac and Mike. Foolish doesn't hold any ill intent, but that doesn't necessarily come across in others view of him. Although it might not be clear, he cares about Pac and Mike. Today he even expressed worries about them and said that he still considers them his friends (even though he's aware that they might not share those feelings about him anymore). He doesn't know about their past traumas, to him this was just a fun little event that would be fun for both them and him. When first accepting Cucurucho's mission to him, I'd say he doesn't realize the consequences his actions would have. That by arresting Pac and Mike, it'd leave the other members of the server doubting him and mistrusting him. That others would be angry at him for something that he hadn't realized the gravity of.

(just random thing i want to say here: honestly, if Foolish had any malicious intent towards Tazercraft, he could have easily made their arrest go unnoticed for at least a few days. just think about it: if he had said that the surprise he had was just for the two of them. if Jaiden hadn't accompanied them as a witness. people wouldn't of known then what happened to them, but the thing is that he wasn't thinking in this way because he would never seriously want to harm them. he even wanted Jaiden there as a witness)

I think he realized the backlash of his actions in the Favela when everyone seemed to swarm him and then when he got interrogated. In which, he never really lied. All things considered, Foolish is a rather honest guy. I'd even say that he almost never lies. Like, if he's trying to hide the truth about something, he often times will find a way to skirt around the question without lying. Like, just looking at the mess that was the interrogation yesterday (/lh) you can see that he doesn't ever actually lie. He just blabbers a bunch of nonsense and skirts around the issue without ever revealing anything. The issue arises when you look at the lie he did tell.

for those that don't know, Foolish gave Jaiden a rundown of what happened before arresting Tazercraft. and in this he tells her that Cucurucho gave him the option to either 'arrest Pac and Mike' or to 'kill Richarlyson'. Not even going to lie, when he said this is took me (and i think all of stream) off guard. because Foolish practically never lies in that way and so blatantly. because this was just 100% untrue. However, it makes sense why he did it. At that point, he realized that people were going to keep badgering him on why he arrested Pac and Mike, but at the same time he knew they wouldn't take him telling the truth seriously. He may care about Mr. Mustard but the truth is that the other members don't hold those same thoughts towards most the Capybaras in general. Like, just look at Fit's interaction with him today. Foolish literally reiterated the truth of why he did it over and over again, but Fit didn't believe him even slightly. Foolish didn't lie once about his motivations and yet he was just not believed.

I think he realized at some point soon after arresting Pac and Mike that people weren't going to trust the truth. Not from his mouth at least. So he lied to Jaiden because it's a lie that people will easily understand. it's a choice they'd stop questioning him about. Again, he doesn't do this out of malicious intent but because it's something easier for people to understand and relate to. It's something they're not going to hound him about, not like they will when he tells them the truth. This lie is more easily digestible for the island members and it also brings Foolish less stress if they take this and believe it. Everyone is willing to make sacrifices in order to protect the eggs. And he had to of realized that Jaiden was going to tell other people. The islanders almost always spread these types of details to each other, that's just how it goes. Telling this lie to her in secret makes it all that more believable when she goes and tells some of the others about it later cuz it's something Foolish told her in confidentiality. To the other members, it paints foolish only in a good light. Of course he wouldn't have actually wanted to arrest Pac and Mike, he did it to protect Richas! and that's all it takes to stop them from getting angry at him. All things considered, it's a smart move to pull. Although, I do have to wonder how this will come to bite foolish in the butt. Because i can only imagine that it will be revealed eventually, some way or another.

From what i understood, Cellbit immediately dropped his anger on Foolish once he was told it was to protect Richarlyson. When Jaiden tells him this information he doesn't even thing to consider that Foolish could have lied. After all, why reason would anyone have to lie about that? In my mind, i can only imagine that the lie will protect him for now and in the short term, but once revealed that it's a lie, i think there will be some repercussions against Foolish for sure. Like, even Jaiden doesn't know that he's lied. Jaiden, whom he's been telling everything about. Jaiden who is only one (aside from Leo) who now knows of Foolish's secret detective role. Jaiden, whose the one he's told almost the entire truth to.

An interesting thing to note though, is that I think Foolish's decision to lie to Jaiden was still rather spontaneous. like, it's not something he thought too much about. it's a fib that makes his life a little bit easier (a little bit less lonely) and right now it doesn't seem to hold any repercussions. the interesting thing, though, is that he hasn't repeated the lie at any point in time. and like, he also hasn't done any lying to reinforce the lie he's told. it'd be so easy to paint a story that he's being blackmailed, but he just *doesn't* even though it's a lie he's made himself.

Foolish, all in all, is someone that just acts or speaks before really thinking too much about what he's doing. About the possible side affects of his actions. He just *does* them.

I think it also plays in very well with the idea that he's lived for thousands of years. the things that affect the typical mortal just don't phase him in the same way, not when he's viewing everything as an adventure or an element that is fun. i think that also taking into consideration that he's lived for such a long time, it's rather surprising how easy he is to manipulate. Because that is what Cucucrucho is doing, when looking at the whole picture. cucurucho holds a lot of power and we all know that it easily could have arrested Pac and Mike without the intervention of Foolish. So why make him do it anyways?

Well we don't know that for sure, but we can make some guesses. To sow distrust between the members. To see how far Foolish was actually able and willing to go for the Federation. To place blame on someone aside from itself. All possibilities.

Regardless, Foolish has played right into their hands. He's a silly guy that's gotten himself into a serious situation. One in which he might end up having to navigate alone because even though he has Jaiden he's still lied to her, and even though he has Leo, he would never want to put his daughter into harms way. He said something at the end of the stream about how this might just end up being a lonely road he's taking and i couldn't agree more.

Anyways, that's all i got for tonight as it's late and idk what im getting at here, i just think Foolish is really neat and wanted to attempt to put that into words. :D

- When they were kids they had sleepovers almost everyday because of how close they were - until Khron's mom died, they started to have less sleepovers but their friendship never ceased one bit

- Holding hands. Always. There's not a moment where they're together and not holding hands otherwise they'd both combust, especially Khron.

- Khron WILL praise Ezmond literally every day. Every second. It's always shit like "you're gorgeous" "you're the best thing that's ever happened to me" "I love you" "My pretty boy" etc etc and all that. He knows Ezmond's language is words of affirmation - because he's probably very stressed by the expectations of being the young prince's advisor and wants only the absolute best for him

- Also I feel like after finding out he had to abandon the dream he worked so hard for, Ezmond became depressed and it got to a point once where he wouldn't leave his room unless it was necessary and would ONLY let Khron in. Because he knows Khron is one of the only people who understand him (as well as his grandpa but this ain't about him)

- Khron has an easy life - he's always happy, despite a slightly strained relationship with his dad he's never not smiling and a ball of sunshine. But he feels guilty, wishing Ezmond could live like that too - of course, still being himself, but also being just as happy as he is with himself.

- Khron has also started to hate the person who decided Ezmond would have to give up on his dreams, and that's the only person he ACTUALLY resents and wants the worst for them.

- The type of kids to make aggressive Barbie roleplays with the JUICIEST drama ever it got to a point once where the father was doing it w the dead grandma (they DID NOT know any better probably, also that's just me projecting because it's exactly how I used to play 😭)

Also as I finished writing this I fell asleep and now it's morning 🙃

- Khron DEFINITELY sleeps every night w a plushie that Ezmond gave him when they were kids and he refuses to sleep without it

- Probably canon but Khron will carry Ezmond bridal style out of nowhere when he's bored (sometimes even when he thinks Ezmond looks tired) and refuses to let go ever

- (this one is entirely sfw cuz I'm afraid sum ppl will think it's not based on real life experiences 😭) Khron's chest is probably very soft, and I like to think that it IS. Every time they're sleeping together Ezmond uses his chest as a pillow and doesn't think twice abt it like it's part of his routine (Khron likes when he does it, he just gets REALLY flustered each time)

- They literally almost never have arguments - only Ezmond yelling a bit but it's mostly not that serious. However they once had a big argument back when Ezmond was still depressed (like 15 before they got into NRC) - he started shutting out EVERYONE including Khron and his grandpa; snapping, yelling, irregular anger and much more and that led to a big argument with tons of insults (they both still feel horrible about it)

- (TW FOR THIS ONE) That phase in Ezmond's life got so bad, he was one snap away from overblotting so he decided he would just end his life but Khron was lucky enough to Walk in on Ezmond moments before he was about to hang himself and basically ripped the rope off of the ceiling with his bare hands. They ended up hugging each other and crying and Khron still feels like the worst boyfriend in the world, because he knows that argument was Ezmond's last straw.

This is the law and order television program it is a complete preamble to the predator movie and some of them die in it are revived but they don't do well. The bullet points of very general ideas I noodled with for wolkids AU (along with a tad bit of pregnancy choices talk) and maybe some screenshots below the cut.

Aeryn very much has never wanted to be pregnant. She's not afraid of it, just no desire to ever go through it. So when she finds out there's serious consideration of not going through with it. Adopting infants, small kids, pre-teens, adolescents, she's more than happy to do! But carrying? Hrm...

(And an adoption of one or two will happen anyway over time once Domesticity settles in.)

Thancred is...not happy that's an option she's considering; he's terrified but also excited by the idea of fatherhood, of family (especially after all his screw ups with Ryne, but also how they were able to fix much of that in the end). He'd rather keep it, but it's Aeryn's choice and he respects that. Still, it's a friction point for them.

Aeryn, being Aeryn, needs time to think about it and consider those options, especially since her partner's on a different page. After all she's got a bit of time to decide, right?

Doing everyday things together, things are a bit tense, and then Aeryn's like "Theoretically, if we were to have a baby, where would we want to raise them?" And they end up debating the merits and issues in the various regions of Eorzea.

(Aeryn vetoes Coerthas immediately. They think about the other city-states, but also the Politics given who they are; Mor Dhona's outside all of that but a rough frontier still. Thancred champions Sharlayan for educational opportunities, the space program, and how it's opened up to the outside since the Final Days and Aeryn agrees that'd be all right but you do realize Ameliance would decide she's Auntie, Thancred says it works cuz Fourchenault's kinda of like a dickish older brother, anyway.)

"Theoretical" what-if conversations keep happening as Aeryn "is still thinking about it" as days turn to weeks. By the time they get to discussing Names, Thancred's pretty sure she's made up her mind and just hasn't admitted it to herself yet.

(She insists they use the name Waters. Hers has too much weight, and she saw what a legacy-heavy name did the Leveilleur twins when they were young. Any kid of Thancred and Aeryn will have enough Issues to deal with. Besides, who cares about the "legacy" of her family name when they can create something new using the one Thancred was gifted?)

(They also eventually settle on a couple simpler Thavnairian names that wouldn't be out of place in Eorzea)

And then yeah, it's too late so oh well guess this is happening!

She's really irked with him though when it's twins.

Fraternal boy & girl pairing cuz I'm a sucker for tropes like that. They don't look so alike as certain other twins though.

The boy looks a lot like his dad but with tanner skin, a bit blonder hair, and his mama's eyes. Also is taller than his dad; not quite max midlander, but slider's at 80. Striker height. Thancred's average adult man height leaves him comparatively short once more.

The girl looks a lot like her mom, but slightly lighter skin, her daddy's eyes, and a bit of his nose, too. Tall (for a midlander) like her mom.

ok so i was talking to masey and i told her how i love talking to her cuz aside from uniz, she's the only one who gets my humor 😂 actually janine and camila too so it's so comfortable having conversations with them, i can say stupid things without them misinterpreting those and turning into a fight 😂 daniz too of course! it's all fun and games with her but she knows when to be serious. my highschool friends are.. idk... i dont blame them. but i feel like we've really grown apart. even teamblack. like they're my home friends but sometimes it doesn't feel like that anymore. or maybe it's just me but it's different now when we're together. it's so awkward and forced. but then again maybe it's just me. idk if they feel it too and are just afraid to say it.

so idk the point of this. i guess i just realized only a few people really get me and those people i mentioned are only seeing my silly goofy side 😂

i think i'm just in a place in my life where it's hard to tolerate immaturity. being playful is okay but being constantly upset over small stuff and making a fuss out of everything is so draining. you know? we're all out here having internal crisis and one person makes things all about themselves like give it a rest. we're all tired here not just you 😀😀😀😀 just cuz some people carry their problems better doesn't mean they're not heavy. just cuz some people are better at hiding their problems doesn't mean they're not allowed to feel bad about their OWN lives. and i'm happy i'm surrounded by people who make life better just by being there, they're just existing but they give so much positive energy and support even when they're struggling too. they don't make everything about themselves and consider other people's feelings without completely disregarding their own. because tbh at this age we should look out for each other and not make things hard for each other cuz we're all already having a bad time. just be there. try not to be an asshole. reach out for help, it's okay. just don't think you're the only one who's struggling cuz you couldn't be more wrong.

Welp, this game is all the rave all of a sudden and irdk how since the game's pretty much been here forever lol but it's still fun so I had to jump on the bandwagon and here we are! Crewmate: Peter is that crewmate that will 100% call you out on your bs, because he knows the game a little too well for you to be able to pull anything over him(because of all that free time waiting on patrol). You think all that stuff with the avengers didn't teach him strategy? Ha! This guy is PEAK detective. Gets his tasks done fast and when he's done is probably spending his time monitoring people on security or vitals. It only took him like 2 weeks to memorize all the maps and where everything is, so if you say you were in navigation, you better believe he's gonna ask you what task you were doing there. And if you don't answer to his liking, Peter will sound the "sus" alarm on you in two point five seconds and have everyone voting you out. He's probably the only person that could figure out MJ when she's the impostor. So if you're the impostor, watch your words and make sure your alibis are strong cuz little Petey ain't playin' no games. Definitely gets attacked from time to time by those people that are always like "sMaRt PpL rUiN tHe GaMe"

Impostor: He's pretty much the most average impostor. Sometimes he doesn't know what to say when people call him sus and he'll get voted out because he's being "too quiet" or because Ned keeps defending him. He'll mess up every now and then but for the most part, he's pretty decent. His style is usually to stay in the vents most of the game and kill when only one person's around. He probably bribes Ned to not rat him out by promising him that he won't kill him.

Name: It used to be just Peter, but soon he wanted an actual cool name so he chose Sherlock because of all the times when he was "too smart" and won the game too quickly and people would go "pack it up Sherlock" and vote him out.

Favorite color to be: It used to be red, but he quickly found that the more he was red the more people found him "sus" so now he's usually either blue or cyan

Ned

Crewmate: Pretty average crewmate. 80% of the time is covering for Peter, even if Peter is the impostor. Won't do much calling people out unless he's absolutely sure that he saw a kill or vent. Pretty chill and easily persuadable. You'd definitely want him on your team. If he ever gets wrongfully ejected he's the one that pitifully tries to plead his case saying stuff like "what???" and "guys it's not me!!!!" which doesn't really convince anyone and just makes him look more guilty. He'll still do his tasks after though.

Impostor: He's the impostor that doesn't want to be the impostor. If you're texting then maybe he can hold his own, but if you're doing voice chats, there's no way this guy is getting past ANYONE. He has so many tells that it's ridiculous. Is actually scared to vent too much because he's always paranoid that someone's gonna be right there when he jumps out. 8/10 the crewmates win when he's the imposter because he'll just kill like only two people the entire time or gets caught really early on.

Name: Probably some sci-fi reference like r2d2 or Potter

Favorite color to be: Yellow or white because he says those are the most "innocent" colors and he'll be less likely to get voted if he's those (not true but we'll let him believe it)

MJ

Crewmate: Suspicion times 100. Her motto: trust no one. Will get you kicked out in a heartbeat with a quick "trust me. if it's not them vote me next." An absolute unit but will never be caught getting emotional over a game. If she's ever wrongfully ejected her last words will be "whatever. go ahead. vote me and lose." She'll just come back in the next game with a vengeance and false accusations ready, not caring if the entire team loses because of it. She's especially dangerous to have because people usually trust her word. She always finds a way to seem the least suspicious. Though sometimes she'll get suspected because of her quiet nature. There's always that one guy that's ready to go "uR qUiEt ThAt'S sUs!!"

Impostor: If MJ is the impostor, you can just throw your whole phone away. You're not winning that game. Like, ever. She will do whatever it takes to win, even sell out her own her partner. On the off chance that you catch her being suspicious, she'll sabotage a bunch of things so that you can't call meetings and then she'll kill you when no one's around. She is ruthless and will hurt your feelings with the way that she will own everyone in the game. Hardly anyone ever expects her. Thrives on venting. You won't see her you'll just be doing a task and suddenly you'll be dead.

Name: Used to be just MJ but she got annoyed with all the people in the messages who always assumed she meant Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan so she changed it to Michelle

Favorite color to be: She literally doesn't care either way. Won't change the gameplay so why bother? Whatever color she ends up with she'll be fine.

Betty

Crewmate & Impostor: The most average player of them all. She wins some, she loses some. Nice partner to have though, because she'll never give you away. Probably the first to die most times. If she ever gets wrongfully ejected she's the one that uses her last words to say who she thinks it and doesn't even try to plead her case once it starts to look bad for her. She just finished the rest of her tasks.

Name: Probably either her name or some nickname or inside joke. Idk she just seems like the type of person to have a reference to something that absolutely nobody knows

Favorite color to be: Pink. Just because she likes pink.

Flash

Crewmate: Claims things are sus even if they aren't. Will totally be biased based on names. Anybody who knows him will never count him as a credible source. Gets voted out quickly alot because of how annoying he is in the game.

Impostor: He's the easiest to figure out. He's the impostor that obnoxiously accuses literally everyone else. And in all capital letters too. "ITS RED I STG. IF IT'S NOT HIM VOTE ME NEXT!" Calls everyone sus and always claims he's seen people running from the body. He usually self-reports and goes for the easy marks in electrical. He's not that good (even though he thinks he is) and it takes anyone with a brain to figure him out. Peter and MJ are bane of his existence in that game. If he gets wrongfully ejected he'll rage and probably leave the game like the little crybaby he is.

Name: Spideys#1 because he's really just THAT obsessed. Or when he's really feeling "teenage boy" he'll be cOchieman

She didn't know this game at all until Peter introduced her to it one day because he was bored. She LOVED it. He had to pry it out of her hands after she kept repeating "Hold on, one more!" So she downloaded on her phone and now she plays it whenever she's bored.

Crewmate: Average. Same as Betty.

Impostor: The way May can actually dominate being the impostor is sort of scary. And she'd always be the last person you'd expect because she just has that trusting vibe about her. Sometimes she'll mess up and give herself away, but for the most part, she's pretty good. Doesn't vent much. Just like Ned, she doesn't trust it.

Best Imposter Combos

Peter & Ned: Goes without saying. Nine times out of ten they're in the same room while playing this so they can just talk strategy to each other and take everyone out really quickly. Really annoying for everybody else, but they'll win so they're happy.

MJ & Peter: These two together are a force to be reckoned with. The second they see that they're both impostors they call each other up and get to business like they're on a mission. This stuff is serious. (More for Peter than MJ. She has to keep telling him that it's just a game.) He stays on security stuff, telling her when it's safe, and she racks up the kills. When things get heavy, they sabotage and then go on a spree. These two hardly ever lose. (When the whole squad is together whoever's in charge [if it's not Pete or MJ] usually puts the kill cooldown at max just in case these two get that they can't be at full power)

MJ & Betty: Betty isn't afraid to sacrifice herself so that they'll win and MJ is ruthless and quick with her kills. Both have the smarts to be able to be extremely persuasive and you'd hate for them to pick you to frame. Because being put against those two in the chatroom will lead you nowhere but abyss of space.

Like you I’m also sensing more serious vibes IF they are back together ...

I don’t know why, maybe it’s just a gut feeling plus they’re older now and probably have more “experience “ in romantic relationships and how to manage them in their levels of fame, they were just 20 when they started dating, and might not seem like it but they were still very young and both ( presumedly) just had had one “ serious” relationship before that. Add that to the fact that they had to deal with fame, being long distance, remaining private and others things that we won’t ever know about...

Going public doesn't always automatically = a happy relationship. We saw what happened with their recent previous relationships. Going public didn't really maintain the relationships (I still feel to this day that they went public Werth the WRONG ppl... they should have just gone public with each OTHER 🙄), if anything, those relationships didn't really last that long after going "public".

So yea, at this point, I'm just happy that they seem happy and are def on good terms again, and if hiding a "FRIENDSHIP" is what they feel is best, then so be it.

Okay... going on a bit of a Schneider x Avery rant for a little bit. I've been reading some of your old posts about them and honestly I really do think they're endgame. If the show were to continue, I think season 3 would've been the closest we ever see Schneider to the family, but I think Avery (bc she doesn't have that much character development) would pull him back to the outer circle for season 4. I don't think they would've brought her back for the finale if they weren't endgame.

(cont) Schneider just barely makes the cut for family in this show. I mean I love him, but the show is about Penelope and her family. If they made too much noise between Penelope’s best friend’s love interest, who has no connection with the rest of the family, it would distract from the main characters too much. Nikki, Schneider’s only other “love” interest had a connection to both Penelope and Alex. But Avery’s there just for Schneider and I’m afraid it would stay that way.

hi anon!! i had to wait a while before answering this one because i knew i would need coherent thoughts and that hasn’t been working so well for me lately

you make two important points here, so i’ll start with the schneider side of it. i agree that s3 was the closest that we’ve ever seen schneider to the family, and that makes sense because honestly even as s3 progressed the storylines for everyone in the family, schneider kind of had the biggest, most consistent arc. (i think alex’s was the next biggest/most consistent. elena and pen and lydia’s stories were more episodic in s3 and sometimes connected more to previous season events than the preceding episodes.)

the showrunners/writers had been planning to address schneider’s sobriety for a while and talked a lot with the actor while they worked on it, and i think they handled it really well. but in my opinion, that all builds up to cementing schneider’s place in the family. not just pulling him into the circle, but making it clear that he belongs there–in a way they aren’t likely to go back on. 

we went from penelope shutting the door in his face in 1.13 when he’s telling her they’re like family, to elena joking about him NOT being family in s2 and him telling a comatose lydia that they’re his family while punctuating his grief with jokes…to the entire family rallying around him in 3.12 after they were all a bit more distant earlier in the season.

elena is the first member of the family to actually direct the word ‘love’ his way! penelope tries to make it clear that he’s important to her just as he is and that he needs to fight his addictions not just for his sake but because of her family, especially the kids! schneider interrupts his big romantic reunion with avery to focus on lydia officially claiming him as an alvarez!

this snippet of an interview todd grinnell gave after s3 mentions the tension between any future schneider would have with avery, and his ties to the family. i don’t know how much the plans for a potential s4 might have changed over time, but since we know the writers do discuss plot arcs with the actors in advance (or at least they have done so with todd before) i believe that when he said this, it was based off his awareness of what the writers were thinking. 

which means that avery could have been brought back to be a source of future conflict–and after schneider’s s3 declaration that ‘family is everything’ it’s not guaranteed that he would choose avery in that scenario. i could see him learning to balance and compromise, maybe, but schneider drifting out of the picture because of his love interest wouldn’t make sense for who he is–unless the actor was leaving the show maybe? i still wouldn’t find it very believable though.

i do agree that avery’s only connected to the show through schneider. that actually bugged me in s3, because they gave her so many little great moments in the beginning to establish who she was, and then she really never interacted with the family even when she was in scenes with them!! they either need to fully include her in s4 or keep her more separate; now that we’re more familiar with her, it won’t make sense at all for her to be in the apartment or at events and ignoring the rest of them most of the time. (unless that’s part of the plot, of course.) i think that avery won’t be likely to get much actual plot unless it starts to be about non-schneider things, like how she affects family members.

i honestly have no idea if schneider and avery are endgame or not. india is too adorable for me to be against it, despite my many objections to how avery was handled in s3 (so much potential after that meet-cute! i ranted in multiple essays about about it!). because the actors are married it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what the show does, letting schneider’s storylines going forward be more about him maturing and dealing with his first serious lasting relationship. 

i think that how long the show gets to continue existing will also have a lot to do with what turns out to be endgame–if it ends on its own terms in a few years, then we’ll know what their intended endgame was. but if it gets cancelled then i’ll always wonder what they might have been really aiming for.

the biggest thing that you and i seem to disagree about, though, anon, that probably affects how we see the avery stuff playing out, is schneider’s role on the show. you say that he just barely makes the cut for family, and i would argue (as i sort of started to, messily, above) that in fact it’s season 3 that doesn’t just confirm but yells that he’s completely family. 

in the first scene of the season, he comes in and tells the rest of them who their own dead relative is, and in his last scene, avery passes along the news of lydia’s official adoption of him. between all of that, the family sees him turn into someone else while he’s trying to please his father–and they see the relapsed alcoholic he’s never been in their presence before–and they commit even harder to making him feel loved and like he’s a part of them. 

along those same lines, i’d also argue that schneider is a ‘main character.’ not only just technically (because he’s been included in things like promo images for the show since s1, where leslie wasn’t) but in terms of the story. if he wasn’t a main character in seasons 1 and 2, he definitely became one in season 3, when two whole episodes were formed around his arc in addition to his usual mini stories alongside the family.

tl;dr i have no idea if avery is schneider’s endgame but he is an alvarez now and i’ll believe him choosing her over his family when i see it

Yeah idk man. Something about transition into the new year sends me into a massive depression. I'm 99% sure (now that this has happened for the past 2 new years) it has to do with being alone.

It's just infuriating at this point. I want to be in a relationship. I've done my time (almost 2 years of it) learning to be single and living with myself. I now can introduce a romantic relationship and at this point, I think it'll help my mental health.

The downside is it has to be a healthy one and that's hard to find these days, at least with my track record.

At this point I've done the meet cute of the friend of the friend in a bar. That ended horribly. I've done the casual meet the friend of the friend in a casual low key setting. That didn't go anywhere.

Now I'm placing my bets on a guy that lives across the ocean that we've had mutual feelings for each other for 10 God damn years but whenever we start talking serious, he disappears. It's always for a good reason but my thought process is "I get life is rough but like I'm still here? If you wanted to talk to me, you would." And now I'm starting to think it's a self (I guess duo) sabatoging for himself. Something he's wanted for so long is willing and able and he's no where to be found. I've always kept quiet whenever this happened before but now? Nah. Either buck up and figure out what he needs to do to fix this for himself or stop having me wait around for you.

Cuz realisticly my next step is dating apps. I've put it off long enough.

But then there's another fold to my anxiety.

I know for a fact that anyone I bring around, my brother will hate. He's never liked any of the guys I've brought around (which tbf they've all been horrible but still). And I know it's MY relationship not his but I spend a large amount of time with him and my sister in law so I'd like them to actually like the person I'm with. And I've heard how they talk about their friends significant others.

So i know if International Man does end up getting his act together and comes to visit, they're not going to like him. Not because he's a bad or annoying person but just because he's such a big risk. And I'm afraid that's going to cause another big rift between us again.

And then add in my delusions. I keep seeing tarot readings about finding my twin flame this year and that a new love introduced will be the one.

I just want it so bad. Especially with my brother getting married this year. It's one thing to go and see other weddings for random people but seeing the love between them happening in front of me is going to kill a piece of me if I'm not with someone at that point.

I'm tired of being the 3rd wheel to my brother and both of my beat friends relationships. Like they don't make it weird or uncomfortable or rub it in but it's just the fact that I'm clearly the out cast here. And it hurts and I'm tired of it.
